ESCP-EAP European School of Management is a multi-country graduate school served by 120 faculty members who conduct cutting-edge teaching and research activities across our 4 European campuses: Paris, Oxford, Madrid, Berlin. The School develops multicultural business leaders through cross-border, multilingual degree programmes in management. This positioning is unique in today’s global business school environment. It is particularly relevant in an era of economic interdependence and international trade. The Specialised Masters programmes are one-year, full-time, postgraduate courses offered in Paris.
These programmes offer a blend of conceptual and action learning with a view to careers in a specialist area. All are accredited by the " Conférence des Grandes Ecoles " and bear the " Mastères Spécialisés " (MS) quality label and trademark. designed for university graduates preparing themselves for employment in a chosen business function or sector of activity. Expertise is developed through an intensive curriculum (September through March), a company internship (April through September) and the preparation and defence of a thesis (October through January). All include an international dimension: an international seminar, international faculty members, international course content and international student participants. The Specialised Masters/MS meet the highest standard of academic excellence; they are delivered by faculty who do research in their field at the cutting edge. Each programme is led by a Scientific Director who is an expert in the field and who provides close attention to the development and learning needs of the participants. In addition to a strong academic dimension, the Specialised Masters/MS are characterised by the strong involvement of business professionals in the curriculum, in order to ensure the relevance to the business world. International applications are welcome. Interested candidates must demonstrate fluency in French and English (the application pack is in French).

How to apply:
Step 1

You will complete an application pack and submit it by the deadline (May of each year). The full pack includes the following standard items:
- the completed application form
- certified copies of educational certificates
- if you are currently a student, a certified copy of your registration
- a transcript of grades
- a up-to-date curriculum vitae
- two letters of recommendation
- photocopy of passport or national identity card
- passport-type picture
- an application fee of Euros 110 (non-refundable)

You may apply to no more than 2 Specialised Masters programmes. You will need to complete a full application pack and pay the full application fee for each programme.
Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Step 2

Applicants sit an entrance examination (May 2002). Successful candidates are invited to selection interviews (June 2002). All examinations and interviews take place in Paris. If a candidate is abroad and unable to attend the May/June examination session in Paris, a further session is held in early September for such candidates only. However it is necessary to submit your application before the May deadline.

The admissions decision is communicated to the candidates by June.

Admission criteria:
Applicants must be university graduates (or equivalent).

Candidates with a French degree:
The following degrees are required for eligibility :

  • Engineering degree
  • Management degree from an approved institution
  • Post-graduate degree
    (" diplôme de 3ème cycle " e.g. DEA, DESS, Medicine,Pharmacy, Architecture...)
  • A Master's degree (or equivalent) and three years of professional experience
Candidates with a non-French degree:
The following degrees are required for eligibility :
  • A full university Honours degree
  • Other degree equivalent to the above (please consult us)

In very special circumstances, the above requirements can be waived if the applicant demonstrates exceptional qualities and aptitudes.

Each ESCP-EAP campus has a library facility. The main business library is in Paris. The other campuses have good reference libraries and offer access to the best local libraries. In each country the School subscribes to all major research journals as well as to the top daily and weekly business publications.

Each campus is located in the city centre. You may expect a quality urban campus environment. Soon the Oxford campus will transfer to London and the School will be located in 4 major European capital cities. ESCP-EAP campuses are designed to provide access to the local business culture and environment. They are also turned outward to other regions of Europe and the world. The UK campus provides a bridge to the global English-speaking business environments. The campus in Spain is a gateway to Latin American business cultures. The German campus is actively involved in Central European markets and provides students access to their business cultures and organisations. Finally the Paris campus is at the heart of French business culture and is a gateway to other French-speaking business environments in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. ESCP-EAP is a gateway to Europe for students and executives outside Europe, and a gateway to the World for Europeans.

Additional information:
The Specialised Masters curriculum has a strong professional orientation. The emphasis on business practice prepares students to enter the job market. All participants undertake an in-company placement as part of the programme (average 5 months).

International exposure:
All Specialised Masters programmes include an international dimension: an international seminar abroad, international faculty members, international course content and international student participants. All programmes include teaching in English and French.

Housing :
Student residence off campus in Paris, 200 beds.
Otherwise students rent bedsits, share flats in Paris, Oxford, Madrid, and Berlin.
The School provides assistance with finding suitable accommodation in each city.

Tuition varies between 10,000 € to 12,300 € depending on the Specialised Masters.
