Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School has deep academic roots. Founded by professor André baron Vlerick in 1953 and the Autonomous Management School of Ghent University and Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, it offers a unique reservoir of knowledge. The school benefits from the amassed knowledge of the two biggest Belgian universities, both older than Belgium itself, each having a strong reputation in fundamental research. In order to respond adequately to your evolving management needs, crucial access to the latest research is available; not only to the research conducted by the school, but also to the research of others. The full-time International MBA is a general management programme with a strong international focus. It comprises one year of study and offers participants the opportunity for personal and professional development, by giving them up-to-date theoretical insights in relation to practical experience. Apart from the in-class sessions the programme offers a number of elective modules, an international trip and an in-company consultancy project.

How to apply:
Candidates for the MBA should either attend the full-day on-campus assessment or should send in a complete application pack including GMAT, TOEFL, motivation essay, two reference letters.

Admission criteria:
Applicants should hold an academic degree of at least 3 years normal study duration and should have at least 3 years\' work experience. In addition, they should successfully complete the Vlerick admission procedure (on-campus assessment or distance procedure).

International exposure:
The Vlerick Leuven campus is in the university district of Leuven - one of the most interesting and attractive medieval cities in middle Europe. The campus will be comprehensively expanded in 2005. It features lecture theatres complimented by break-out rooms for group discussion. All participants have 24 hour access 7 days per week to the campus and the IT and recreational facilities.


Tuition and fees per year:
The tuition fee for the Full-time International MBA is €11750. This fee includes course books, use of desktop computers, accommodation and food during residential seminars and travel within Belgium on company and intercampus visits.

Approximate student budget:
Living costs range from €6000 to €11000 for the duration of the programme. An average monthly budget would amount to €700 for housing, electricity, gas and water, food, and miscellaneous costs.
