Building on a highly intensive core, the IMD MBA is designed to help candidates to realize their leadership potential through unique off-site leadership experiences, venture projects, building networks and intensive personal coaching. Providing the foundation for the program is IMD’s unique “Real World, Real Learning” approach. IMD is located in Lausanne, Switzerland on the shore of Western Europes largest lake, Lac Léman, between the Alps and the Jura mountains. The Lausanne-Geneva area is home to the European and international headquarters of dozens of major corporations, international banks, governmental and non-governmental organizations, the United Nations and many other global institutions ranging from the World Trade Organization to the Olympic Movement.

Additional information:
IMD Partner Program - Every year, many MBAs arrive with their partners - husbands, wives or companions - and often with children. To help make their time in Lausanne as rewarding as possible, IMD created the MBA Partner Program. Run by the partners, each year the program is different and typically features two or three activites each week. There are also language courses, computer classes, cultural events and social gatherings, as well as sports activities and excursions.

International exposure:
IMDs MBA participants of the 2001 class represent over 40 nationalities, 74% of them have lived/worked outside of their home country and over 50% are fluent in more than 3 languages.

Housing :
non-residential but rental accomodation is available.
