Among the IU advantages is the opportunity to learn from internationally qualified professors and to interact with students from many nations. The IU curriculum is internationalized to provide a global perspective in undergraduate and graduate programs in Business Administration and Diplomatic Studies. Students gain cross-cultural competency to prepare them for the global marketplace. A liberal transfer credit policy assures students the benefit of studies they have already completed.

The mission of IU is: preparing students from around the world to serve in the world.

Accreditation :
The International University is accredited by the Austrian and Ukrainian Ministries of Higher Education. IU also has a partner-program with the accredited Waynesburg College in Pennsylvania, which allows students to complete half of their courses in Vienna and then have a study-abroad opportunity at Waynesburg to obtain the IU MIB and the Waynesburg MBA degrees.


COURSE PROFILE

Generally, graduate courses meet for eight weeks each, during evening hours for the benefit of working students. A total of 16 courses plus a thesis and internship is required for the MBA and the Advanced Diplomatic and Strategic Studies degree.

application forms are available on the IU Web Site. Students may also email info@iuvienna.edu and request an application packet by mail. IU is pleased to arrange telephone or personal appointments to assist students in their admissions process.

Admission criteria:
- B.A. or equivalent,
- minimum TOEFL of 550,
- Essay on prescribed topic,
- Deposit (if coming from outside Austria and will need a visa to reside in Austria),
- transcripts for all schools attended,
- completed application form and application fee.

IU has a library on campus, supplemented by multiple research libraries throughout Vienna

IU is located close to the famous Ring Street in Vienna, a few blocks behind the Parliament and the Town Hall, and just off the famous shopping street, Maria Hilferstrasse.

International exposure:
Vienna is home to approximately 100 embassies and consulates as well as a headquarters of the UN, the OSCE, OPEC, OPEC Fund, International Atomic Energy Agency, and over 200 multi-national firms.

Housing :
IU can assist in arranging dormitory space for students at a rate of 2.500 ATS per month.
