Deutsch (ZD) |

This exam replaced the Zertifikat Deutsch als Fremdsprache (ZDaF)
in 2000.
This diploma, recognized on national and international levels,
evaluates an elementary knowledge of German. Candidates learn
a vocabulary of around 2000 words and the basic grammar rules,
and will be able to take part in conversations on current subjects.

Deutsch für den Beruf (ZDfB) |

Diploma established in collaboration with the Federation of German
Public Universities.
This certificate recognizes the ability to communicate in professional
situations. Candidates will be able to understand simple economic
texts, draft letters, and adequately express themselves on subjects
encountered daily in the workplace.

This exam is for candidates who already possess a good knowledge
of German.

In collaboration with the Federation of German Chambers of Commerce
and Industry (DIHT) and the Carl Duisberg Centers (CDC)
This diploma certifies advanced knowledge in business German
and is internationally recognized. Candidates should be able to
express themselves thoroughly, in speaking and writing, on business-related
subjects.

et Grosses Deutsches Sprachdiplom (KDS, GDS) |

Commissioned by the Ludwig-Maximilians University, Munich and
issued by the Goethe Institute.
This exam fulfills the language proficiency requirement for admittance
at all German universities. You must be at least 18 years old
to take this exam.
