Organization

Argentina has some thirty public and about the same number of private universities. Certain universities specialize in a single field. For example, the National Technology University trains engineers: aeronautical, civil, electrical, electromechanical, electronic, industrial, mechanical, chemical, computer, textile, etc.
The academic year is divided into two semesters, generally from the second week of March through mid-July and mid-August through the second week of December.
