Degrees and diplomas
Following
secondary (or high school) education, university education
includes undergraduate and postgraduate (master's, doctorate)
cycles.
A master's degree requires at least 540 hours of course
work and 160 hours of directed field work or research, plus
a thesis.
To obtain a doctorate, it is necessary to hold the title
of "licenciado," take the required courses and seminars,
and present a doctoral thesis.
National universities set the number of foreign non-residents
admitted each year. Once graduated, however, these foreign
students are not allowed to exercise their scientific or
professional activities in Argentina.
