Student visa
Requirements: a valid passport, visa application form (furnished by the consulate), certificate of admission to a university certified by the Minister of Education, legal record, a physical and mental exam (form supplied by the consulate), copy of birth certificate (and marriage certificate if applicable), copy of round-trip tickets.
Costs: $80 (€89) paid to the consulate and $200 (€222) in a money order for the "Tasa-Dirección Nacional de Migraciones"
Minors need parental authorization.
All documents must be translated.

Tourist visa
Requirements: a valid passport, visa application form (furnished by the consulate), documents to prove financial resources during the visit (copy of bank account statement, for example), copy of round-trip tickets.
Cost: $30 (€33.30) paid directly to the consulate.
