 ARGENTINA

Finding scholarships

Scholarships in Argentinean universities are awarded according to academic performance and the student's personal situation. It is necessary to obtain information from each individual university about the possibilities and requirements for scholarships.
An example with the Austral University: students wishing financial aid should follow the pre-university program, arrange a personal interview and send a letter to the appropriate authorities explaining the reasons for the request. A financial aid request form must be included. In general, scholarships cover from 25-75% of fees.

Some organizations granting scholarships and grants:
National Program of University Scholarships (PNBU)
Cooperacion Interuniversitaria entre Argentina y España (PCI)
Fulbright Commission
Mutis Program: long-term scholarships for postgraduate studies relating to Latin American countries; administered by Instituto de Cooperación Iberoamericano.
Argentine Council of Exchange Students (USA-Argentina)
Conditions: unmarried students between 19 and 26 years of age who have already finished three years of university studies and mastered English.
Application: first of April, for a January departure

• Participation in conferences, scientific symposiums, etc., where the recipient is making a presentation
• Research outside of the university
• Researchers invited to the university for courses, seminars, conferences
