 ARGENTINA

Travel tips

Take advantage of the beauty offered by the 23 provinces of this large country, but don't forget distances. Get good information before setting out, keep your passport on you at all times, don't draw attention to yourself, and beware of pickpockets. Buenos Aires is a large city, considered by many the most elegant in South America, but like any big city, there are areas where it is always best to go accompanied or not at all.
Those coming from North America or Europe will not feel completely away from home, since Argentina is European and American. The department of tourism divides the country into six tourist zones and presents Argentina as the "Country of Six Continents."
From time to time, you will hear variations on familiar Spanish. In Buenos Aires, for example, the dialect is called "lunfardo" and in the whole country the charming personal pronoun "vos" is used, as it is throughout the region.
Several international airlines like Iberia, KLM, Lufthansa, and British Airways have regular flights to Argentina from various locations.
