 AUSTRALIA

Finding a job

Job offers are posted on the bulletin boards at the Student Offices. Newspapers are also a good source to find job offers.
The student visa allows a student to work up to 20 hours per week during the semester and full time during the summer vacations, but in order to work you must have an authorization by the local Immigration Authorities. The request for such authorization can be done at the university.

Finding an internship:
Immigration controls are very strict in Australia making it difficult to find an internship. If an employer offers an internship they must go to the immigration control to request a "demand of nomination."
