Tuition and fees

In Austria, education (which is financed by the federal state) is practically free for most EU students and students from certain developing countries. For these students, the only fees are those of the student associations.

For all other students, the tuition fees can go up to 4,000 ATS per semester, which is US $240 per semester.

All students are obliged to register with the student association (ÖH), which costs a maximum of 200 ATS (US $12).
