Health information
If you are staying in Austria during the summer
and you intend to go to the countryside, it is highly advised
to get vaccinated against tics. So that this vaccine is
effective, you will have to get vaccinated for the first time
in March and 3-4 weeks later for a second vaccine. You can go
to a GKK (Gebiets Kranken Kasse) to get these vaccinations
for the cost of 150 ATS (US $9) for each injection (50 ATS (US
$3) if you benefit from an Austrian health insurance).
