Admission requirements

Language proficiency
A minimum level of French is required by the universities in the French community:

Students wishing to register in the first or second cycle must pass a French exam composed of written and oral tests.
A minimum level of German is required by the universities in the Flemish community:
Level 5 (tests in August, September, and October) given in most Belgian universities.
Minimum level of English for courses at the end of the second cycle and beyond:
213 (new score) 550 (old score) on the TOEFL (paper-based)
5.5 on the certificate of the British Council

Equivalence of diplomas
Requests for diploma equivalencies and certificates of studies abroad must be made to the university authorities or the ministries of the Flemish or French communities.
