 BELGIUM

Health insurance

Medical exam
For visas lasting more than 3 months, a medical exam is required.
Students, researchers or doctoral students are insured, within certain limits and conditions, by their universities for corporeal accidents, civil liability, medical assistance, accident and repatriation.
You should be covered by major medical and disability insurance during your stay in Belgium.
For countries of the EU: Ask at the office of your mutual society for a document that proves that you are in regulation (form E 128, E 111, etc.). You can validate it at a Belgian mutual society and then receive significant reductions for health care.
Countries outside the EU: Ask in your country of origin if there is an agreement between your country and Belgium. If so, bring the necessary documents. If not, think about taking out an international insurance policy with repatriation in case of accident.

Cost:
According to your situation, 400-3,000 BEF (€10-75/$9-66) per month.
