 BRAZIL

Local information

Brazil is divided into 5 regions : the North Region, the North-East Region, the South-East region, the Center-West Region, and the South Region. The majority of the population is concentrated in the regions that border the Atlantic coast, the states of the South-East and North-East. Industrial activity is concentrated in the South-East Region, with 50% of the industrial production in the state of Sao Pãolo. More recently, the migration patterns of the population have turned towards the less populated regions of the North and Center-West.
It is a very beautiful country, but it is also one of the countries in the world where the distribution of the riches is the most unequal.
Rio de Janeiro with its carnival and 7 million ‘Cariocas’ is known for its beautiful and " chic " beaches of Ipanema and Copacabana, but also for its monument Pao de Açucar and the Corcovado, the beauty of its women, the passion for football and the samba... a mystical city so to speak.
Sao Pãolo is the most populated country in South America. It is known for being alive 24 hours (night-life !) but also for its cultural and artistic activities, for example the Museo de Arte.

Climate : Most of the country can be visited any time during the year. During the Brazilian holiday seasons, from December to February, travelling can be a bit more expensive. Summer is the time of the year when Brazil has the most tourists.
Winter in Brazil is from June to August, with temperatures in the South from 13 to 18°C. In the summer -December to February- the temperature is around 30°C, and the rest of the year the temperatures are around 25°C.
Brazil is a country that is fairly humid, the south of the country experiences most of the climate changes.
