 BRAZIL

Finding accomodation

The university can help you get information about student residencies, or houses that are available for students.
Useful site : www.abm/fr/pratique/hebergem.html
Youth Hostels : www.albergues.com.br/nav-libr.html
There are a number of them that are available throughout the country for less than US $10 per night.
Hotels : www.brazilinfo.com/hotels/scripts/searchform_en.htm

All the categories are fairly well developed except in the Amazonian region (a region where, if you are courageous, you can rent a hammock and a mosquito net !) The hotels in the South and in the big cities are the most expensive. For local economical establishments, count on spending US $12-25 for a double, generally breakfast is included.
