 CHINA

Programs for foreigners

The Chinese universities are open to foreign students who generally come from the United States, Japan, United Kingdom, Canada, South Korea and the developing regions of Africa and Southeast Asia.

Contacts and information:

Chinese universities offer services in the international relations office, which should be your favored place of contact. A list of all the higher education establishments can be found on this website: www.amb-chine.fr A list of establishments that welcome foreign students is available on the following website: www.chinatoday.com/edu/a01.htm

Programs:

A number of universities and institutions offer programs during the summer for foreign students, generally language classes and courses on Chinese civilization. These programs offer an extraordinary means for discovering China while improving one’s Chinese. A program of this type is offered at the Aeronautic and Astronomy University of Peking and includes all expenses (air plane ticket from the east coast of the United States, accommodation, meals and a number of excursions). This program can cost about US $2,890 per month. During the academic year, exchange programs exist between Chinese universities and a number of foreign universities (mainly with the United States, but there are a few in Europe and Asia). Get the necessary information from your university.

Nevertheless be careful, Chinese diplomas are not always recognized in other countries, on the other hand Chinese language diplomas are recognized in the majority of countries.
