Admission for foreigners

To attend classes in China in a specific degree or Chinese language classes, the universities require a language test called the HSK (han yu Shui ping Kao shi or pin yin). One must have taken 2 years of basic Chinese in order to take literature studies, history, philosophy, medicine or traditional Chinese pharmacology. A minimum of 1 year of Chinese is required for all other subjects. At the university of your choice you must present: a photocopy of your last diploma, which has been certified, and its translation into either Chinese or English. To apply for a Master’s or Doctorate, two letters of recommendation that have been written by a professor or at least a teacher’s assistant, which must be included in your application file.
