 CHINA

Travel information

The best means to get to China is obviously by plane. The international airports are situated in Peking, Hong Kong and Shanghai. The CSC (the organization that manages grants given by the Chinese government) can be in charge of your transport costs from your country to an international airport in China and then to your university city. As soon as you know the city which you will be going to do not hesitate to ask the CSC for help. To travel within the country, the universities offer organized trips for foreign students, and this is surely the most practical way of discovering the cultural heritage and the fantastic nature of China. You can travel on your own, in this case, the train is often the best option: it allows you to discover the countryside and the small villages that are in very good conditions. During the holidays or small breaks (at the beginning of May there are 7 days of holidays, at the beginning of October there are 7 days of holidays and the Chinese spring festival) it is advised to reserve tickets in advance.
