Foreign students: The percentage of foreign students
is low, and most are part of exchange programs. In 1999,
for example, 41 French students studied in Colombia and
in 2000, there were 38. Of these, 5 were regular students
and 33 were exchange students.
The University of the Andes had 68 foreign students in 1998,
including Americans, French, Germans, Italians, Norwegians
and Dutch.
