 COLOMBIE

Degrees/diplomas

In Colombia a degree is granted at the end of the university cycle, which normally takes at least five years. Many universities also require an internship and a thesis. At the postgraduate level, a thesis is mandatory.
The undergraduate level is called "pregrado" and usually follows high school, this cycle normally takes five to six years. The length of the graduate-level cycle varies according to the particular program.
The admission process is long, since registration forms are distributed in September/February; files are received in March/October and the exams are in April/August.
The office in charge of the admission process is called "Dirección de Admisiones y Registro".
