 COLOMBIE

Educational infrastructure

Universities consist of different faculties or departments, each headed by a dean. The international relations officer takes care of arrangements with foreign universities.
There are public and private universities in Colombia. The private ones are usually quite expensive and often considered elitist, whereas the public universities attract students from a wide variety of backgrounds. Both types of universities offer a wide range of choices in different programs. Prospective students are wise to do as much comparative research as possible on the various options, taking into consideration such aspects as the programs offered, the libraries, the ratio of professors to students, etc.
