 COLOMBIE

Admission for foreigners

Colombian universities are willing to admit foreign students; the language requirement is some mastery of Spanish, and sometimes English is also required. Each university specifies equivalent diplomas between various countries. Most Colombian universities have agreements and exchange programs with several universities worldwide. For instance, the University of the Andes has agreements with 55 universities in the United States, Europe, Canada and Latin America.

Required documents:
- A translated certificate of the bachelor degree (or its equivalent, such as a high school diploma)
- A copy of the Identity card
- 2 identity photographs
- Some universities will require that the student take the ICFES exam

Many universities have on-line registration (consult the official web site of the chosen university) and once registered, the student can book for a year.
