Finding scholarships

There is a program of reciprocity scholarships proposed by the Colombian government through ICETEX.
Short courses: Scholarships are granted through the cooperation of the OAS, universities, and ICETEX.
Visiting professors: Facilitates the attendance of international experts to scheduled events in Colombia.
Long courses: ICETEX, together with Colombian universities that participate in this program, gives the opportunity to foreign students that want to undertake a graduate level program (master or doctorate). The program works in reciprocity with countries that grant the same opportunity to Colombian students, professionals with a good mastery of Spanish can apply.
It covers return ticket, tuition fee, books, financial resources, medical insurance and departure tax.

- Residence certificate
- Copy of diploma certified by the Colombian consulate
- A summary of the project of studies approved in the country of origin
- Work experience certificates
- Health certificate
- Certificate of working knowledge of Spanish
- Letter of Introduction from the foreign affairs ministry of the country of origin

Colciencias (www.colciencias.gov.co) is an organization of the Colombian government for sciences which offers scholarships to young researchers in sciences.

Requirements:
- Excellent scientific education
- The candidate must be working in the science field, and have an offer to work in a foreign laboratory or research center.
- Be a citizen of a developing country
- Be less than 30 years of age.

Deadline: October 31
