 DENMARK

Local information

Islands or continent ?

Denmark is spread over interconnected islands. You will therefore always live close to the sea, which is not without its charm. A country described as "Latin of the North" you will find a warm and festive ambience: the Swedes and Finns often come over to party during the week-ends. It will be difficult to work as requests for going out are frequent.

On the campuses, where the student associations are very active, you will be able to take up sports (bicycle, roller skating, skiing, nautical sports, etc...)

Climate and season: Under the influence of the ocean the climate is rainy. The temperatures are relatively fresh: 16°C is the annual average and 0.5°C is the winter average. The coldest temperatures are observed in the areas which are furthest from the sea.

Summer starts in June and finishes in September.

Winter starts in December and finishes in March.

Distances: The country is small, the road system is excellent, the islands are joined by regular ferry connections and by bridges, and thus it is very easy to move around in Denmark.
