Organization

Danish higher education is internationally recognized.

Education is offered by three types of institutions: universities (universiteter), other higher education schools and technical schools. There are five universities (Copenhagen, Arhus, Odense, Roskilde and Aalborg) and around fourteen higher education establishments with more professional objectives (hojerer laereanstalter).

Danish higher education is managed by the Ministry of Education. Very few private establishments exist.

Accreditations
Danish higher education is accredited by the government.
