Teaching Methods

In the first years of university education, the core courses contain many students. The courses are delivered in the form of lectures and are generally held in amphitheatres with 600/800 places. The work load becomes diversified in the later years (the number of students per class goes down to about 30, but not always) and class room participation. The educational conditions improve progressively as the level of study goes up.
In preparatory classes or specialized schools, teaching methods are different and the class size tends to be very small.

Number of study hours per week : average — 12 hours ; 25 hours for engineering schools.
