The ERASMUS has partnerships between
higher education institutions for transfer of students from
campuses in Europe (2000-2006). The ERASMUS is a part of
the community program SOCRATES. The ERASMUS accentuates
transfer, transparency and acknowledgement of higher education
in Europe. Actions :
- Transfer of students for completion of one part of their
education in a foreign country : spreading information,

(3 - 12 months) in a program of cooperation. These foreign
study programs are accepted by the home university and credits
are transferred towards the diploma. The transfer is valid
from the end of the second year until the doctorate level

The grandes ecoles recruit a lot
of foreign students and want to be internationalized for
educational and professional enrichment. The conference
of GrandesEcoles, which consists of 175 grandes ecoles of
commerce and engineering, has created an international commission
to encourage the transfer of students and develop international
relations. This commission follows orders of the ministry
of Foreign affairs and the national ministry of education,
research and technology. The universities and institutions
for higher education (foreign) are associated with the conference
of Grandes Ecoles.
The French and foreign universities have regular agreements
to encourage the welcoming of foreign students. Interested
students must present themselves to the International relations
services office of their university to know of partnerships.
