Inscription fees and conditions
The inscription dates vary depending on the university
and study program chosen. It is advisable to complete the necessary
paperwork before the beginning of the program. Address your queries
to the Office of International Relations.
Foreign students who have a higher secondary
(A levels) foreign degree and wish to pursue an undergraduate
degree in France need to follow particular steps. They need to
ask for an admission with preconditions. The student must go to
the embassy of France in his home country and take a form of admissions
with preconditions (admission préalable) last date
for withdrawal : January 15. When he submits his completed form
(Dates between 1 December to 31 January) he has to select a field
and name 2 universities in the order of priorities. All certificates
translated into French should be attached to the form. In February,
there is a French language test held by the National Ministry
of education and organized by the Embassy of France in concerned
countries. Before 15 March the files along with the results of
the language test are sent to the concerned universities. After
15 April the universities give their reply regarding acceptance
or rejection of an application.
Foreign students who already have undergraduate degrees from home
countries must present their completed application forms to the
higher education institutions where they wish to study. Their
diplomas must be translated in to French and describe the educational
system in their home country (notes, courses taken, number of
hours worked
).
When the institution is a university, the student must address
a demand directly to Service of education, formation and research
asking them to recognize his diploma. The completed application
forms must reach the university in the month of May.
For Grandes Écoles and business schools,
the steps to follow and the deadlines are different depending
on the university. The best way to find out details on application
and admission criteria and deadlines is to contact the schools
of interest.
