Health information

Health examinations are required.
Students from foreign countries must undergo the following medical exams, given free of charge by the university health services, upon enrollment:
Radiology exam
Pathology exam
Dermatology exam
Returning students or those transferring from another university must have an annual radiology exam. This exam is done by Student Health Services at the Universities of Athens and Thessaloniki. For all other students, the exams are done in state hospitals.

Health insurance: Once enrolled, foreign students automatically benefit from Greek social services. Students receive a voucher booklet giving access to free health services.

Students needing medical attention can visit Student Health Services or a university-designated doctor during regular office hours. The student voucher booklet issued by Medical Services (F.B.P.) will be required.
The voucher booklet include your name, student identification number, identity (or passport) number, the location where health services are normally rendered, and the regulations. The voucher booklet is renewable each year by the secretary of the Department.
