Finding employment:
OAED (Organismos Apasholisseos Ergatikou Dynamikou) is the national Greek employment office, which has a monopoly on all job placement.
Employers must inform OAED of all job openings and layoffs within eight days.
Web site: http://www.oaed.gr/
Temporary employment agencies are not allowed in Greece.

Sectors that recruit:
The tourism and hotel industry is Greece's chief industry, and recruits seasonal workers especially. Greece is already preparing for the Olympics.
Consult the following Web site for more information: http://www.athens2004.gr/
