In general, for students living in a postgraduate residence, a minimum of US$20000 per year will be required to cover tuition fees, food, lodging( on campus) and general living expenses. If you choose to live off campus , note that housing is in great demand throughout Hong Kong and rents in Hong Kong are extremely high.
The cost of meals, books and incidental personal expenses varies according to individual preferences. On an average a student spends approximately US$400-450 per month on meals. Personal miscellaneous expenses, including local transportation, laundry, sundries and entertainment is about US$350 per week.
