Orientation :
International students have an orientation course to introduce them to the curriculum and student life and to give a brief introduction to Chinese society and the culture of Hong Kong. This course is generally offered in the university a week before the commencement of the semester. You can contact the International Student office of the University you have selected to find out additional information.

Exchange programs :
Universities in Hong Kong have partnerships and collaborations with over 50 educational institutions in North America, Australia and Europe. Normally the exchange study program lasts for one or two semesters with agreement from home university regarding transfer of credits.

International Programs :
Eastern Michigan University arranges for Asian Cultural History tours between august and december. To find out current information send e-mail to programs.abroad@emich.edu
Council of International study programs offers courses at Hong Kong Baptist University in commerce and administration, sciences and arts.
Institute of Shipboard education offers courses in arts and fine arts, architecture, films and communication, international relations etc. To find out more information send e-mail to shipboard@sas.ise.pitt.edu

International Student courses :
Courses are generally taught in English and Cantonese. If international students are fluent in Cantonese, they may enroll in any subject offered given that the prerequisites are met. International students are also encouraged to take computer literacy and religion & philosophy courses. Introductory Mandarin for non-Chinese speakers is specially designed for international students and is taught from an English language base.
