Degrees and Diplomas

Degrees and Diplomas are awarded in fields of Engineering, Law, Medicine, Social Science, Business Administration and Communication studies
The duration of courses for a Bachelors degree in Science, Arts or Commerce is 3 years after a school education of 12 years (10 + 2).
A Bachelor’s degree in a professional field of study like agriculture, dentistry, engineering, pharmacy, vetinary science, technology generally take 4 years after 12 years of education. Architecture and medicine take between 5 to 51/2 years.

Admission requirements :
The criteria for admissions to professional courses vary, but not greatly, from university to university. Generally speaking, the intermediate standard of an Indian University with mathematics, Physics, and chemistry is required for admission to a degree course in engineering; and a similar standard with Biology, Physics and Chemistry (including Organic Chemistry) for admission to a degree course in Medicine. Applicants for science degrees should have studied the relevant subject at the secondary level also.

Transfer :
Inter-university migration after session had advanced is not customary as it involves long-drawn-out correspondence and usually results in loss of lectures, tuition fees and hardship to the student. Therefore it should be avoided as far as possible.
