Admissions conditions
Knowledge of the language:
Verification of the linguistic ability: This exam
is organized by each univesity at the beginning of September.
The only possibility of being exempt from the exams is if
you have a second level certificate of Italian language
(CILS or CILE) awarded by the University of Siena or Perouse.
Diploma Equivalence:
Generally for foreign students to apply to an Italian university,
they must have a valid qualification that would allow them to
attend a university in the country where they were awarded the
certificate (as long as the certificate was awarded after a minimum
of 12 years of secondary education). Italy also has some bilateral
agreements with other countries that agrees on a reciprocal equivalence
of qualifications.
Every university supplies the Foreign Office with information
on the terms and conditions for recognizing and evaluating diplomas.
