Health insurance

Citizens of the EU need to ask for the E111 form in their country in order to benefit from the services of the national health system in Italy.
For non-EU citizens it is advised to get information about potential (current) health agreements between Italy and the country of origin or instead get a personal health insurance that covers all medical costs. In actual fact, in case of necessity, all foreign citizens must pay the health services at the rate of the Italian state.
