Programmes designed for foreigners

Foreign students are admitted to universities under the same conditions as Lebanese students. They are not subject to any special quota system.
The first step is to contact the nearest Lebanese embassy, where they can get all the application procedure information.
Some universities, like the American University of Beirut, have an Office of International Programs, which provides specialized services to support international students : orientation, assistance with housing, counselling.
There are no special programs designed for foreigners as such.

The exchange programs
Several Lebanese universities have signed co-operation agreements with international universities and institutes.
The American University of Beirut has co-operation arrangements with : University of Michigan, University of Bari, University of Perugia, University of Naples.
