 LEBANON

Visa information

Foreign students should secure an entry visa (tourist visa) to Lebanon from the nearest Lebanese embassy in their country. They should also have their passport valid for a period not less than 13 months from the date of joining the university.
Once in Lebanon, the " Office of Student Affairs " in most of the universities, provide the necessary certificates for registered students to enable them to acquire residence permits from the appropriate Lebanese authorities.

Tourist Visa
Validity :
3 months with single entry fee : 35 US$
6 months with multiple entries fee : 70 US$
Required documents : Visa application form, valid passport, 1 passport-sized photo, an address in Lebanon
Restrictions : do not allow to work
Delivery time : 48 hours
Nationals of certain countries (France, Canada, USA, UK, GCC countries, etc…) can obtain a Tourist Visa directly upon arrival at the Beirut Airport, on condition that there is no Israeli stamp on their passports. A list of these countries is available in all the Lebanese embassies.
Visas obtained at the airport cost 18 US$ and are valid for one month only.

Student Visa
Validity :
one year
Required documents : valid passport, proof of residence, university registration certificate
Usually, the Office of Student Affairs in each university help foreign students in getting their residence permit.

Working Visa
Generally speaking, a foreign candidate who seeks a working permit should submit an employment contract with a Lebanese company. Furthermore, the employer must justify his needs in recruiting a foreign employee.
