Scholarships/grants

Scholarship policy depends on each university. Scholarships are granted within the framework of bilateral agreements concluded with other countries.
The Université Saint-Joseph awards scholarships of 10 000 US$ per year to arab nationals through grants offered by the French Government. The Arab Middle-Eastern nationals must apply for scholarships at the French Embassy in their country. The French authorities forward their file if approved to the university.
The American University of Beirut awards grants for undergraduate students based on both demonstrated need and academic achievements. Amounts may vary from a small part of the tuition to full tuition support.
Fellowships covering tuition and partial living expenses are available for students at the graduate level in return of a specified number of hours per week of work for an academic department.
