The principal universities in Portugal have exchange programs; most of them are with the European Union such as Socrates/ERASMUS, LEONARDO DA VINCI and CRE. With Latin America, there is the ALFA program; with Eastern Europe, TEMPUS; and with the Middle East, MED-TEMPUS. There are also exchange programs with Portuguese-speaking countries such as Brazil, Mozambique, Angola, Guinea-Bissau, Cape Verde, etc.
There are exchange programs among Portuguese universities such as the exchange program between the University of Coimbra and the Technical University of Lisbon.
