Inscription and fees conditions

Foreign students must have the diploma from their secondary studies ratified, and must also pass the national test in their chosen fields of study. These are held in March and April.
Candidates must have a certificate of qualifications (original or a notarized copy) which has been approved by the country of origin's embassy or consulate in Portugal. If the certificate is not original, it must also be certified by the Information Center CIREP.

The application material must be very complete and all documents must be translated into Portuguese. Some programs require other conditions such as medical certificates or attitude tests.
Certificates from public secondary schools must be recognized by the DES secondary studies department.

Other required documents are:
- A valid passport or Identity card
- 2 photographs
- The E-128 form for medical insurance (EU citizens)
- Visa (even for three-month stays)
- For non EU citizens, private insurance

University calendar:
There are two semesters: October-January and February-May
