Finding scholarships
The
social action offices also provide students with information
about financial aid.
The Camões Institute grants scholarships for Portuguese
language studies for a year.
Requirements:
- Curriculum Vitae
- Photo
- A legalized copy of qualifications certificates
- A declaration stating that the holder will not receive
other financial aid
This scholarship covers registration fees and all expenditures.
Files must be submitted before May 31st.
If also offers scholarships for graduate
studies (master's and Ph.D.) in Portuguese language and
culture.

- Working plan
- A declaration made by the professor who will work with
the student.
- Enrollment proof in a graduate program
- A declaration stating that the holder will not receive
other financial aid
The reply is given within 60 days and
the scholarship covers all expenditures.
The PRAXIS XXI program grants scholarships for post-doctoral
studies in science and technology, depending on the science
and technology department.
Students coming form Portuguese speaking countries such
as Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, etc., can get scholarships
through the PALOP program that covers books, housing and
living expenses.
The Caloustre-Gulbenkain Foundation offers scholarships
for studies in Portuguese language and culture as well as
scholarships for research in human sciences.
