 SINGAPORE

Health insurance

With effect from March 1, 2000, the Singapore immigration requires all applicants who have been granted in-principal approvals for a student pass/social visit pass for 6 months or more, to pass a medical examination conducted by a Singapore registered doctor before they can be issued with the actual pass.
All full time foreign graduate and non-graduating students are required to take up a health insurance scheme that covers hospitalization/surgical expenses. The insurance premium is approximately $60.00 per year
