 SINGAPORE

Finding scholargrants

Tuition grants are granted by the government to subsidize tertiary level education for foreigners. Under the tuition deed, foreign students who receive the tuition grant will work for 3 years in Singapore upon completion of their studies.
Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic excellence and other criteria like extra-curricular activities and generally cover tuition fees, study materials and living allowances. They are awarded for both undergraduate and graduate studies.
Many private companies, statutory boards and tertiary institutions in Singapore offer scholarships for studies in Singapore.
Foreign students can apply directly to the school/university who assist students in getting the right scholarship grants. They may also apply for a merit award scheme granted by the ministry of education which will subsidies school fees for primary and secondary school education.
