 SOUTH AFRICA

Programmes designed for foreigners

Information :
The overseas student’s first step is to contact the selected university where he/she can get all the application procedure information and the specific admission requirements.
Almost all universities have an International Affairs Office that provides specialized services (i.e.: orientation, assistance with housing, counseling) to help international students.

For further general information, overseas students may contact the following organization :
International Education Association of South Africa (IEASA)
P.O.Box : 65099
Reservoir Hills
Durban 4090
South Africa

Programs designed for overseas students :
• Special Orientation Program
Almost all universities organize an orientation program in order to introduce new students to the university; this usually takes place during the last week of January. There is also a special orientation program for international students presented by the International Affairs Office during the two days before the official orientation.

• Exchange programs
Several South African universities have signed co-operation agreements with international universities and institutes.
