 SWITZERLAND

Finding accommodation

Housing in Switzerland is expensive and can be difficult in certain large cities. However, don't panic, your school will help you find housing. Contact the university office of housing and dining, which will provide a choice of university rooms and studios as well as lists of lodging in the private sector. It is wise to contact this office even before you have been accepted, since the best lodging always goes first!
In general, schools offer rooms in small buildings divided into apartments with 4 or 5 bedrooms and communal bathrooms and kitchens.
As for the price: count on around 3,500 CHF ($2,030) per year for a dorm room; 7,800 CHF ($4,524) per year for a studio, and 11,000 CHF ($6,380) per year for a private studio. (Prices for Neuchâtel).
