The living standard varies from one city to another: the prices are much higher in Taipei.

Some useful prices:

• Rent for a room: 6,000 - 12,000 NT$ (190 - 360 Euro, US $170-340) per month
• Bus ticket: 15-30 NT$
• Hamburger: 100 NT$
• Coca Cola: 70 NT$
• Cinema ticket: 260 NT$
• Night club: 150-500 NT$ (with or without drinks)
