Applying

Application Files
• Full-time undergraduate applications
Foreign students must take the examination in English for selection and placement of international students called YÖS.
Applicants should request the ÖSYM- YÖS Guide and the Application Form by writing to :
Ogrenci Seçme ve Yerleştirme Merkezi, ÖSYM- YÖS, 06538 Ankara, Turkey.
The Guide and the Application Form are posted free of charge to the applicants.
The application form together with the examination fee (100 US$) must reach ÖSYM by May 15. The examination is usually held in June, at many centers in Turkey, Central Asia, Eastern Europe and the Middle East.

•  Transfer and Graduate Applications
Foreign students who have completed at least one full year at an accredited university or who apply for graduate programs may apply directly to the Registrar’s Office of the university they want to attend in Turkey. Usually, most of the universities mail the application files to the students living abroad or forward them by the Internet.

Calendar
It’s highly recommended that foreign students start their enquiries a few months prior to the commencement of the academic year : at least 9 months before for the full-time undergraduate programs, and at least 7 months for the transfer and graduate programs.
