Health insurance

Very often it is up to the University to provide medical insurance for their students; students cannot enroll in classes without the proof of insurance. Other possibilities include transferring your medical insurance from your home country (if possible, this you must see with your local medical center) or medical insurance offered outside school, there are many in all states that specialize in foreign students and workers. You must carefully examine what is covered under the insurance and at what percentage (usually you do not get reimbursed the whole amount) and for how long (an academic year, a semester, a calendar year etc.)
Costs will vary, but in general will be around $500-$600 per academic year.
